Tessa lives on the world wide web and wants to share some places with you. This list will change, but I don’t want to keep any secrets.

A Muddled Thought – a must see for those who want a really in-depth look at ingredients and some behind-the-scenes info on the mixology world.
The Cocktail Chronicles - wonderfully thoughtful discussion with a great index.
Colleen’s Cocktails Blog – Colleen posts frequently and has solid recipes. Very accessible site that won’t weird you out.
Cocktail Kumite – while they’re not into formatting, these Parisians post some wacky drinks with great commentary. Kumite definitely brings a different flavor to this list.
The Dizzy Fizz – a “blogazine” that has cool profiles of mixologists in addition to more general news on the cocktail world and, of course, cocktails.
Liquor is Quicker – I like the recipes posted here, and I like the tone. The bar list also suggests a noble mixologist.
The Manhattan Cocktail Classic- weekend cocktail seminar including all the best known mixologists. Centered in the village on October 3-4. We’ll be there. You should be there.
The Manhattan Project – Cocktails – wow! There are some great recipes here, and each with a bit of history.
Mixology Monday – this is an awesome site that hosts roughly monthly online cocktail parties. Each participant posts a drink on their own blog and links in for the party. You can expect to see my entries there.
New Zealand’s TheBartender.co.nz – I like this site as a reference.
NY Barfly - a good general cocktail blog based in NY (an important category in my mind).
Spirited Cocktails – posts aren’t too frequent, but cover classics and go in depth on how to actually make a drink. A plus for me: he’s a fellow New Yorker.
Twiddish – the site says food, but I say use it for cocktails! If it’s not pre-made but is served at a bar or restaurant, then rate away. To say nothing of the fact that Jonny was among the first to use the Bertessa handle, way back in the early 90s.
Design/Style Related
The Apartment Broadcast – by Stefan Boublil, this blog is amazing. WARNING: generally NSFW and not friendly to uptight thinking.
Apartment Therapy’s Re-Nest - the green living focus is awesome, and Cambria is a good pal.
The Errant Aesthete – AMAZING blog dedicated to the style of cocktails (sound familiar). The focus here is on awesome photography and inspiring the mixologist. This is a MUST READ!
The Style Blogger – that rare creature, the Men’s style blog. Really, men’s style is hard to find on the web, but SB isn’t linked just because it exists. Instead, SB is linked because he’s always right.
Social Primer - another rare creature, a genuinely courteous voice on the world wide web. SP has taken on the enormous task of helping the rest of us become as stylish and well-mannered as we should be.
urbancase - awesome simple modern furniture and designs out of Seattle (I featured their Melli Compact Lounge in Starting Your Home Mixology Station).
The Other Half of the Experience (FOOD)
The Bovine – all about the fight for access to raw milk.
Cheese Slave – this is a good blog by a fellow Real Food follower. Also a good twitter feed.
Food Politics – Marion Nestle’s food and food policy blog. I like Marion’s practical take on food and she keeps me abreast of the developments.
Apartment Therapy’s the kitchn - maybe Apartment Therapy shouldn’t get two links, but this is always interesting reading. They even have drinks occasionally.
Midtown Lunch – has revolutionized dining for the workers of midtown Manhattan by letting us know where the good vendors are (something that has become a huge deal with all kinds of high-end/specialty street carts).
General Awesomeness
FU Penguin – “telling cute animals what’s what.” An EE favorite.
A Heeb and a Hot Dog Abroad – a real-time memoir written by another good pal.
Things I Think You Should Know About
ClearWays Consulting – Bev puts out a great newsletter on professional development. I think it is useful for anyone with a job (and probably quite a few without).
FT Alphaville – OK, big violation by exposing the day job a bit, but this is my favorite take on financial news.
May Books – is owned by my kin, but that shouldn’t be held against them. These are green notebooks with awesome cover designs, and they’re customizable! Expect to see them around Tessin Rinpoche.
