A New Mixology Cabinet!

My New Mixology Cabinet - with room to expand
I am very proud of my weekend’s handywork. I transformed a 2-shelf kitchen pantry containing the litterbox, extra toiletries, and pet food into 70% more mixology space than I had on my old bar cart!
The change allowed some re-arranging of end tables (greatly desired by EE), but most importantly gives me the space to start some infusions and expand beyond the basics. All this while maintaining the existing litter and storage space.

Whole Closet (post construction)
The design allows me to completely fill the bottom shelf and still be able to see the bottle at the back, because the bottles are low enough (to the ground), and the shelf above is cut away. The top shelf is my favorite because of the cute little ledges I created for bitters.

Getting lumber cut to order in Manhattan was a bit more expensive than I would have liked, but I think it was well worth it. New Yorkers take note! This only took a few hours of construction, uncovered new space in a small apartment, and provided a much needed opportunity to bricoler (for some reason the main word I retained from one semester of French). Now I just need to figure out what color to paint the shelves.
Fantastic! You and I spent the weekend in very similar pursuits. If ’twere possible here in the comments section, I would post photos of my own new (repurposed) liquor cabinet/mixology station. I am thoroughly enjoying this.
